Beschreibung des Wappens: „Das Wappen der Stadt zeigt das schwarze Kap (alte Landmarke zur Kennzeichnung der Insel für Seefahrer), das über zwei blauen Wellenbalken auf einer silberfarbenen Düne steht.“ Beschreibung der Flagge: „Die Farben der Stadt sind schwarz/weiß/blau. Die große Stadtflagge zeigt das Stadtwappen auf drei blauen und drei weißen Längsstreifen.
