Currently prep is only able to do so on s3 cards by very carefully, and
slightly incorrectly setting text mode by hand.  This trick doesn't work on the
mga cards that appear in some prep boxes, and on other things, so it's a little
hokey. The trick to set text mode is prety much undocumented and card specific.

Ideally, we would have some kind of simple rascons/genfb device in libsa to
solve this problem.
