I managed to install it. The hardest part was "finding" a medium from which the installer could properly install the packages. I managed to achieve this in a few steps: 1.creating an additional partition on the target disk where NetBSD was to be installed. Unfortunately, under Linux, UFS partitions are read-only, so it must be FAT (msdos), 2. after preparing the disk, I interrupted the installation and on a PC with Linux I created a "dd" image with the "conv=swab" option (byte swap) to be able to read and mount the partitions, 3. I formatted the msdos partition as FAT, mounted it and copied the files from the installation disk, 4. re-image the disk with byte swapping 5, now when installing from Hades you can select a local disk and by adding "targetroot" at the beginning of the path, you can install packages. For now I have chosen the minimal installation. Unfortunately when I try to configure the network the computer hangs, or at least nothing happens for 5 minutes :) This is a great step forward. I keep trying. Regards Artur ---
