The acutal number of floppy images (and iirc their names) was
hardcoded into sysinst.  So there's not much point leaving that in,
unless someone builds split sets for each 1.4 port where they're
useful, and then updates the sysinst source code to match.

(which was likely the point behind the `add file listing split sets' message.)
