I guess I meant, what was the last release where the MATH_EMULATE option worked properly?

I would have to test - could you suggest a suitable program to do it? Something which could test all the instructions we would like to emulate.

I'm not sure of a test suite off the top of my head, but /sbin/ping would be a start...

I did a quick check with installation floppies and pinging loopback, works fine on 1.6.2, but 2.0 fails with:


math_emulate: 0xd9fa not implemented

Both tests were done with INSTALL_TINY kernels. I can do more testing with different revisions between those two, but it will probably have to wait until friday, I'm rather busy until then.


Any suggestions are welcome
