So is it this device in pcidevs that's on your board?

product INTEL 82801I_IGP_C      0x294c  82801I (C) LAN Controller

It does seem to have been pulled up to netbsd-4.

Thanks - that's a big help.  With the ethernet supported, the current
normal intel motherboards look a lot better.
