I've found that the version of GCC in 1.6's Sparc64 tree really doesn't seem to work terribly well (consumes all memory and falls over trying to compile GNU fileutils if optimisation is switched on, just fails to compile chunks of C++). Is it possible to run a Sparc32 system on an Ultra 1 instead of the Sparc64 code? -- Matthew Garrett | mjg59@srcf.ucam.org
