port-x68k@netbsd.org in English (and  maybe in Japanese), so
that users will be able to read  all announces posted in the
future  at  ftp.netbsd.org.  NetBSD-current users should

Recent changes in the port-specific potion
==========================================

 MACHINE_NEW_NONCONTIG
 =====================
  Extended memory  support   code  rewrite to  use   the new
  noncontiguous    physical   memory  handling  interface by
  Yasufumi.   To use the  extended   memory, you still  need
  options MACHINE_NONCONTIG (the  name  is to be changed  to
  avoid confusion) in your kernel config file.  See conf/NEWNC.
  Note that the old code still remains.

 UVM
 ===
  MD  portion of the  new VM by  Yasufumi  is imported.  You
  must rebuild the userland:
    # echo 'UVM=1' > /etc/mk.conf
    # cd /usr/src (or whereever you hold the source tree)
    # make build
  See conf/UVM.

 RB_POWERDOWN
 ============
  The -p option of shutdown(8) and halt(8) now works well.

 ITE keymap files
 ================
  ITE keymap files are now installed in /usr/share/keymaps/x68k.

 __BROKEN_INDIRECT_CONFIG
 ========================
  Invisible to ordinary users.

 zs driver
 =========
  Switched the zs driver, which would not work correctly for
  some time,  to the  MI   version.  Mouse  driver is   also
  rewrote to  work  under the MI   zs driver.   You  have to
  correct your kernel config file.

 X server and clients
 ====================
  (This change might not be reflected today's sup)
  X clients  can now be  compiled on NetBSD/x68k.  To build,
  type
    # make BOOTSTRAPCFLAGS=-Dx68k
  in the xsrc directory.

  Hopefully,  import of  the X  server  and  release  of the
  binary snapshot shall come soon.

  BTW does someone know the current mail address of Mr.Yamasaki?
