I wonder should autounloading be prohibited for all driver-class modules?


Why? Doesn't it make more sense 
to have a driver keep track of whether  or not it has attached any instances, and prohibit the unload if the  count is non-zero? If a device appears later, the driver can always be  re-loaded...
