Hi Alistair and the NetBSD Team,
I’m Attaullah, a 3rd year student in the Maths and Computing
Department at BIT, Mesra.
I’m interested in contributing to the "Modern cryptographic algorithms
to netpgp, netpgpverify" project and have a few questions:
1. Mentorship: Since this project was posted a while ago, is it still
available? If so, will you or another mentor be available this summer?
What’s the expected feedback cadence (e.g., weekly check-ins)?

2. Extended Goal: Is the standalone netpgpsign utility a priority or a
stretch goal? Should I include it in my proposal?

3. Preparation: I’m currently studying RFC 8032, Salsa20, and the
netpgp codebase. Are there specific areas (e.g., OpenSSH key parsing)
I should focus on or any additional recommendations?

Thanks for your time—I’m excited about this project and hope to hear from you.

Best,
Attaullah
