I have been told multiple times by upstream projects when submitting 
single patch files to just provide single fixes at a time. Luckily many of 
our single patch files just cover one fix.

Having mega patches just compounds it and may cause more work to 
submitting upstream.

By the way, I see various patches already in pkgsrc don't follow the 
patches-aa scheme.
