What about adding an option for this? ditto - although I didn't realise I could rerun individual stages and just had to wait for it to grind through those first stages again ... :) Incidentally, I'm using a 128MB Xen DomU and found that it ran out of memory when compiling qt4-libs with one file causing the compiler to chew up about 94MB ...
