I'm all for over-the-top CPUs, but I can't imagine a desktop user needing that much power. Isn't 'content creator' a fancy word for a YouTuber and why would a YouTuber need so much CPU power?
Maybe some graybeards could use it attempting to solve the universe in FORTRAN?

You're not wrong. Although you'll typically see at least one thread become CPU bound in many games, especially simulations. That's why it's good to have high single thread.
