How should ads be submitted?
As Chimes works on an all-electronic printing process, we greatly prefer ads submitted in electronic formats. We can support PSD, JPG, TIF and EPS file formats. Please ensure that all submissions have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi to ensure quality printout and create images to the exact ad specifications so no image degradation occurs from scaling.

How often does Chimes print?
Chimes is published every Friday, with exceptions being holidays and school recesses, during the September-May school year.

What is the advertising deadline?
All ad copy must be received by the Monday preceding the publication date. We cannot guarantee that your ad will be placed as we have limited space, especially with color ads. If it is necessary for Chimes to design advertisements, we must be given necessary information with at least one week notice..

Who reads Chimes?
The hard copy readership consists primarily of Calvin students (approximately 4,000), faculty and staff. Chimes does not include advertisements in its online version of the print edition.

What are the terms of payment?
Soon after your ad appears in Chimes you will receive an invoice and a tear sheet. Payment is due within 15 days of billing. If you have pre-paid, you will be sent only a tear sheet. Please note that pre-paying does not guarantee ad placement.
