PyCON 2004 Registration Site
Cafritz Conference Center Please register ASAP. We need an accurate attendance count in advance to make the proper reservations with the University to accommodate everyone. And we WANT feedback, so don't be shy about requests for topics, new ideas, and any issues that will get you to the conference. This conference is for you...the users.
Payment DeadlinesThe deadline is 12:00 PM Midnight Eastern for each date listed. EST = GMT-5. Please be sure to register in advance so you don't have to worry. Keynote SpeakersKeynote addresses at DC 2004 will be given by Mitch Kapor, Guido van Rossum, and Bruce Eckel. TalksThe list of presentations is now online. A schedule has now been published on python.org. There will again be a significant amount of Open Space to allow for informal and spur-of-the-moment presentations for which no formal submission is required. There will also be several Lightning Talk sessions. These informal sessions are opportunities for those who don't want to make a formal presentation. SprintA pre-convention development sprint will be held on March 20 - March 23, 2004. Some sprint topics have been announced and others are evolving in the wiki. If you have software you would like to move forward in a sprint, please also list that on the Wiki. The PSF is sponsoring the facilities for Sprint at no cost to participate. Donations of $30 or more are appreciated. Call for Proposals/Papers
The deadline for submitting papers has now passed.
Wireless NetworkWireless access points will be set up around the conference areas. Feel free to bring your portable wireless devices and jump online during the conference. There will not be any hardwired network ports available. If you need power, bringing your own extension cord or powerstrip might also be a good idea in cases where there arent enough outlets or you need distance. FoodLunch will be provided every day of the conference. There is a Food Court on the ground floor of the conference center and numerous delis/restaurants nearby. In addition, refreshments will be provided during the numerous breaks. Depending on the time of the day, refreshments may include danishes, fresh fruit, cookies, and brownies. Drinks may include coffee, tea, bottled water, juices, and sodas. Lodging and TransportationThe PyConDC2004 Wiki is your best source of information.
