  • The year 30 BC was either a common year starting on Wednesday, ThursdayorFriday or a leap year starting on Thursday (the link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar (the sources differ, see leap year error for further information). It was a common year starting on Wednesday of the Proleptic Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Octavian and Crassus (or, less often, year 724 Ab urbe condita). The name 30 BC for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini calendar era became the most common method in Europe for giving names to years.
