When you rename a protocol, the old one is not selected so we cannot immediately type.

In the CMake documentation section about building deployments, the documentation references the command make check, which I cannot find the final CMake build. Perhaps it's a remnant from the past?

Since we are purely Python 3, it would be convenient and nice to have typing information at least in the interfaces which are publicly exposed.
Add mypy to test-requirements.txt and add static type checks to Travis CI builds.

We should have the ability to share examples a la jsFiddle. There are some examples that I would like to share with my students without having to recreate them each time.
