After Apple’s introduction of ARKit 2, we have been consistently working behind to create shared-AR experiences. Our goal is to improve the utility of mobile using AR experiences.
Pirate-AR: Extending Google AR Core SDK Sample
It's a sort of social networking concept. Users on the app can leave essentially leave a "message" somewhere in their surroundings. Usually on a wall or something. Then, anyone else using the app in the same location can look at the spot and see messages left by other people.
