On the local computer, create a default branch that is not master, such as main by typing the following: git config --global init.defaultBranch main
Create a new VSC folder and run the command `Git: Initialize repository'

Currently, the Ctrl+Shift+B shortcut is assigned to focus the note editor. However, when the current layout is viewer-only, it doesn't make sense to focus the editor. Instead it should focus the viewer panel.
