The Information Technology Department (ITD) provides centralized technology services to support municipal operations. Some of ITD's divisions and focus areas include:
●Geographic Information Systems, providing maps and spatial data services for both City departments and the public.
●The Open Data Program whose goal is to increase accessibility to and the transparency of data created by the City
●The Cambridge Public Internet WiFi Network providing free public Internet access via WiFi at all public buildings, public schools, and many parks throughout the City.
