Network Booting and Deployment of FreeBSD & PC-BSD

In this presentation we will discuss the problems behind traditional deployment of FreeBSD based systems, and how many large scale users have begun automating the process using PXE network booting. Starting in PC-BSD 9.1, a new utility has been integrated which allows the quick deployment of a PXE booting installation server. We will take a look at how to do the initial setup of this PXE server, customization of the system images to deploy, and advanced disk setup options, including FreeBSD on ZFS raidz and mirror configurations.
