Taking the Open Cloud to 11 with CloudStack

Joe Brockmeier Audience: Intermediate Topic: Cloud and Virtualization This will be a fast-paced introduction to open source cloud computing in general, and Apache CloudStack in particular. Apache CloudStack is a turnkey, open source, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform that is suitable for medium to huge cloud deployments. This presentation will start with a short overview of what it means to be an IaaS cloud, followed by the lively intro to Apache CloudStack, including: ●Feature tour and explanation of what Apache CloudStack offers ●Demo of the Apache CloudStack UI, including provisioning a VM, setting up templates, storage walkthrough, and more. ●Q&A as time allows ●Brief intro to the Apache CloudStack project and pointers for folks who want to get involved or deploy a proof-of-concept Apache CloudStack cloud.
