Track Configurations using GIT
Anas Mughal
Audience:
Everyone
Topic:
General
With many years of experience with software development, I have been lately focusing on empowering and enabling software teams to develop and deliver high quality software. An important aspect of any development environment is the appropriate tooling.
With development tool roll-outs, managing configurations of the tools becomes a challenge. I will show in this presentation how distributed source code control system like Git could help in tracking and managing software and system configurations.
GIT is a distributed version control system that requires no central server. Its distributed nature is very appealing to track changes and modifications to any set of files on any operating system.
