要旨
潮来︵現茨城県潮来市︶の遊郭に取材した洒落本、式亭三馬﹃潮来婦志﹄︵1806年成立、1830年刊行︶が、潮来地方の方言資料として見るに値する資料か考察した。﹃潮来婦志﹄は、ガ行音に打たれた白圏が当時のガ行音の状況を窺わせるものとして注目を集めてきたが、音価の解釈や加点意図の解釈にいたる以前になされるべき、本資料の資料性の検討がなおざりにされていた。そこで、本論文では、つぎの2点をたよりに本資料の資料性を検討する。すなわち、本資料に見られる(1)格助詞サと(2)白圏は潮来方言を写したと考えられる証拠をどれほど持つものであろうか。ここでは、おもな対比資料として、現在の東北から関東にかけての方言地理学的研究、方言の記述研究および近世後期茨城方言資料を用いた。その結果、(1)格助詞サは、潮来方言の純粋な反映とは見做しがたく、(2)白圏は、個々の語への表記の真正さはともかく、事実の反映と見做してよい。
Abstract
This article assesses the faithfulness of Itako-bushi as a document of premodern Itako dialect. Itako-bushi is a Share-bon (a premodern literary genre depicts licensed quarter) which took the stage in Itako, Ibaraki, Japan, written by Shikitei Samba in 1806, published in 1830. Itako-bushi was known for its diacritic circle noted to Ga-column, which implicates the actual pronunciation of the Ga-column at the time are unnasalized among dialect of the north-eastern Edo. However, Early examinations into the pronunciation and the intention have lacked the assessment of the faithfulness of the language which shall have been done beforehand. In order to assess it, this study investigate these two features surely are reflected from then Itako dialect: (1) a case-clitic “sa” and (2) diacritic circle. I compared them to nowadays geolinguistical survey of from Tohoku to Kanto dialect, and documents of Ibaraki dialect of the near period. Results are follow: (1) is maybe not a reflection, (2) somehow reflects a fact that a pronunciation of word-medial Ka-column in Edo dialect is voiced in Itako dialect.
