I have a question regarding the licensing of derivatives of File:Leighton-Alain Chartier-1903.jpg.
Said image has the {{PD-Art}} license template. I have a drastically cropped version (cropped: 490x490px; original: 955x1400px) that I want to use for a userbox. I wish to release the image as public domain, because the original painting on which it is based is in the public domain. Because the original file is a "faithful photographic reproduction of a two-dimensional, public domain work of art", my image is a drastic cropped, and the intended use will further reduce the image display size, I'm not exactly sure which PD license template I should use. I will be adding the {{Derived from}} template to my file, in addition to whichever PD license it requires. Thank you for your guidance. — CJDOS, Sheridan, OR, USA (talk) 10:17, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
