Overview

edit

ActiveCampaign was founded by Jason VandeBoom in 2003.[8] It started as a consulting firm, and then as an on-premises software provider.[9] The company would later transition from on-premises software to a software as a service business focused on marketing and sales automation.[8][10] ActiveCampaign raised $20 million from Silversmith Capital Partners in 2016.[11] In February 2020 it raised $100 million in a Series B round led by Susquehanna Growth Equity, joined by Silversmith.[12][13] In April, it raised $240 million in a Series C round led by Tiger Global with participation from Dragoneer, Susquehanna Growth Equity and Silversmith Capital Partners.[14] ActiveCampaign acquired Postmark, a transactional email delivery system, along with Postmark’s platforms, DMARC Digests and Postmark Labs in May 2022.[15][16]

ActiveCampaign is headquartered in Chicago with offices in Indianapolis,[17] Sydney, Australia,[18] Dublin, Ireland.[12][13] Florianopolis, Brazil, and Costa Rica.[19]
