In 2008, American Solutions launched its ''Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less.'' campaign, which involved ana television ad campaign featuring Gingrich and a petition to Congress in support of [[Arctic Refuge drilling controversy|opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling]], and expanded [[offshore drilling]].
