Etymology
The direct translation of Batizmî in Kurmanji means "baptism." According to the ANHA the etymology of Batizmi originates from the Kurmaji words『Bê tişt meyî』(fermentation without yeast) and『Bê tîz meyî』(ferment with yeast). It is derived from how God in the Yazidi religion created (fermented) the world and the angels into existence in seven days from a cosmic egg. The first and leader of the archangels is Tawûsî Melek who YazedisYazidis believe is a an emanation of God and all things good, after this god created six more angels.
