Pokémon Concierge is a Japanese stop motion original net animation (ONA)[1][2] series, part of The Pokémon Company's Pokémon media franchise, that premiered on Netflix on December 28, 2023.

    Premise

    Haru, a new concierge at the Pokémon Resort, aspires to provide her Pokemon guests with the most fun and restful vacation they could ask for. Before she can do that, however, she's got to learn how to relax herself!

    Following a series of unfortunate life events, Haru decides to start anew at the Pokemon Resort working as a concierge. Her supervisor, Ms. Watanabe, implores her to spend her first day enjoying what the resort has to offer, but Haru is certain the task can't be that simple.

    Transliteration: "So, Were You Having Fun Just Now?" (Japanese: どう?いま楽しい?)

    Ms. Watanabe asks Haru to find a Pokemon partner of her own. Although she initially struggles with the assignment, she quickly bonds with a shy Psyduck suffering from uncontrollable headaches.

    Upon witnessing a Pokemon's evolution, Haru wishes she could "evolve" too, believing she lacks any talents in her current form. When a Magikarp who cannot swim loses his floatie, Haru is given the opportunity to discover where she excels.

    Haru meets a timid Pikachu and his trainer, Nao, who hopes the Pokemon Resort can encourage Pikachu to be louder and more outgoing. After several activities fail to persuade Pikachu to raise his voice, Haru reconsiders her approach.

    In February 2023, during the Pokémon Day presentation, it was announced that a stop motion animated television series was in development for Netflix. The Pokémon Company collaborated with Dwarf Animation Studios on the series.[3]

    In July 2023, it was announced that Rena Nōnen would be voicing the main protagonist named Haru, who works as a concierge at a resort where she shows hospitality to and fulfills the needs of weary Pokémon and their trainers.[4]

    In November 2023, the trailer debuted revealing the Japanese and English voice cast, which includes, Ai Fairouz, Okuno Eita, Takemura Yoshiko, Imani Hakim, Josh Keaton, and Lori Alan.[5]

    Mariya Takeuchi sang the series' theme song, "Have a Good Time Here".[6]

    In February 2024, Netflix ordered more episodes of the series.[7]

    Pokémon Concierge premiered on Netflix on December 28, 2023.[5][4] It consists of four episodes.[5]
