Are these the best pictures to describe Senegals economy?? Dakar is a major financial centre, why no pictures of the downtown skyscrapers? Somebody, edit, if you know how to..//Kuini86

Here are some other possible pictures from wikipedia commons

edit

Any of these would probably be an improvement.

Cleaning up: still needs a rewrite with more sources

edit

I've tried to address the concerns above, tried to balance the article, and ordewr what's there in some kind of logical fashion. It need less from the IMF / US government perspective, and more form a Senegalese perspective (or even a neighboring state's or French view, as these are their major trade partners). Needs historical background, discussion of Pre-colonial, colonial, and early independece. Role of the Muslim brotherhoods and other local cooperative capital sources. And a better statistical section. T L Miles (talk) 22:01, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to integrate this into the article, and model it on Economy of South Africa. T L Miles (talk) 05:15, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello everyone, I am working for the International Trade Centre (ITC). I would like to propose the addition of an external link that could lead directly to the specific country’s trade data held by ITC. I would like you to consider this link under the WP:ELYES #3 prescriptions. Moreover, the reliability and the pertinence of this link can be supported by the following facts 1) ITC is part of the United Nations 2) No registration is required 3) Trade data (imports/exports) are regularly updated 4) The link gives direct access to the trade database of the specific country 5) The addition of reliable trade data to the Economy section of the country could provide an appropriate contribution to the information therein contained. Thank you for your attention.Divoc (talk) 17:24, 5 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Needs to Be Updated

edit

This Article provide simply the basic economic stats of Senegal and talked about old economic reforms that were not that relevant to the current economic status of Senegal. Needs the to include more recent reformations and needs to find more reliable sources.—Omartall90 (talk) 04:43, 15 February 2018 (UTC)·Reply
