Incorrect class combination

edit

The 125cc class was discontinued after the 2002 season and replaced by the MX2 class for 250cc four stroke motorcycles, not the MX3 class as this template incorrectly suggests. The MX3 class replaced the 650cc class and has very little to do with the 125cc two stroke class that existed prior to 2002. The confusion stems from the FIM's decision to designate the MX1 class for 450cc motorcycles as the premier class, relegating the open class to eventual extinction.Orsoni (talk) 15:41, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
