  • It is variously translated as Artiguist Tendency,[2] Artiguist Slant,[3] and Artiguist Source.[4] The adjective Artiguist honors the 19th-century national hero José Artigas.[5] The noun vertiente means "slope" literally and can also mean "point of view" and "aspect".
