    The 2022 Utah Utes football team represents the University of Utah as a member of the Pac-12 Conference during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by 18th-year head coach Kyle Whittingham the Utes play their home games at Rice–Eccles StadiuminSalt Lake City. In the preseason polls released on July 28, the Utah was picked to finish the season as the top team in the conference.

    Previous season

    The Utes finished the 2021 Season with a 10–4 record, and an 8–1 conference record. Utah won the South Division of the Pac-12. The Utes won their first Pac-12 Championship with a 38–10 victory over Oregon. Utah would lose to Ohio State in their first ever Rose Bowl 45–48 to end the season.
