The 2023–24 EFL Championship (referred to as the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship reasons) will be the 20th season of the Football League Championship under its current title and the 32nd season under its current league division format.

Twenty-four teams will compete in the league – eighteen returning teams from the previous season, three teams relegated from the Premier League and three teams promoted from League One. As of 15 May 2023, seventeen of the eighteen returning teams have been determined, with the eighteenth to be the loser of the 2023 Championship play-off final. In addition, Southampton have been relegated from the Premier League and Plymouth Argyle and Ipswich Town have been promoted from League One.
