A Caffè Ritazza at Budapest Ferihegy International Airport

Caffè Ritazza is a chain of retail outlets owned by Select Service Partner (SSP). It provides a range of coffees, pastries, ciabattas, panini and alcoholic drinks at many sites internationally.

Caffè Ritazza is an international coffee house with company headquarters in Weybridge, Surrey, United Kingdom. Caffè Ritazza is owned by SSP The Food Travel Experts. SSP deliver world class food and beverage experiences across the globe and have done so for more than 60 years. SSP has an unrivalled portfolio of local, international and bespoke food brands that play a vital role in providing unique, rewarding and fulfilling food experiences in each of the 400-plus travel locations worldwide. Caffè Ritazza was founded in 1995 by SSP and has since grown to over 120 outlets operating in 21 countries. Known for its handcrafted coffee, its style, and freshly prepared food, Caffè Ritazza offers passengers a tranquil escape in an inviting and modern setting

History

Originally Ritazza was founded as a range of coffee blends then in 1996 the first UK store was opened. Caffè Ritazza went global when it opened its first international store at Stockholm Arlanda airport in 2001. By 2006 Caffè Ritazza was open and trading in over 20 countries. Each Caffè Ritazza uses traditional Italian Espresso machines to meet exacting quality standards. The launch in 2010 of Caffè Ritazza’s Art of Great Coffee initiative and the introduction of innovative new products such as the afternoon coffee range (which showcased a number of iconic coffee drinks from around the world), is evidence of the brand’s expertise in coffee and its commitment to celebrating the skill of the barista.

Caffè Ritazza serves quality food which places considerable emphasis on the freshness of its ingredients. The food range includes sandwiches such as ciabbatas, paninis or mezzalunas through to a range of seasonal salads.

Every year, Caffè Ritazza most gifted baristas compete in the company’s World Barista Championship. This highly competitive event allows those at the very height of their profession to demonstrate their skills, as well as share expertise with colleagues from across the world. The competition is adjudicated to the exacting standards of the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) and the judging panel includes external association judges, as well as experts from within the company.

Caffè Ritazza operates 47 stores in the UK and Internationally there are a further 79 locations in 21 countries.
