Constitution Day of Kazakhstan (Kazakh:Қазақстан Республикасының Конституция күні) is the main national holiday in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Constitution Day is celebrated annually August 30. It commemorates the adoption of the Kazakhstani Constitution in 1995. Constitution Day is one of the most important holidays in Kazakhstan.[1]
The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted following a referendum on August 30, 1995.
There are traditionally mass festivities, concerts, parades and fireworks on this day. The Supreme Court of Kazakhstan also conducts seminars in high schools around the country.[2]
It celebrated the 14th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan.[3][4][5]It was the first time there was a parade on Constitution Day. Kazakh Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and Vice Minister of Defense Major General Nurlan Dzhulamanov lead the parade.[6]The Presidential Orchestra of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan was led by Colonel Alexander Belyakov.[7][8]
It celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan.[9][10][11]
It celebrated the 16th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstani pop stars such as Nagima Yeskaliyeva, Zhanna Orynbassarova, as well as songs from The Beatles, and Almaty Symphony Orchestra.[12][13][14]
