The Port Huron Confederacy was an concept, first posited in 2021, based upon the teachings of the Port Huron Statement, and the ideology of Students for a Democratic Society, to create an micro state, micro nation, or commune (usually in North America) that engages in participatory democracy, and council anarchism. This concept heavily relies upon the ideas of Tom Hayden, and occasionally, the Yippie party. The concept was never officially implemented, except in smaller experiments, and once in a micro nation, which as of 2024, is defunct.
There were few attempts to implement, considering the niche-ness of the idea, however, an experiment was held at Dutchtown High School, by a local club, from the school years of 2022-2023.
In 2021, a micro nation, using the same name as the concept, was created in Praireville, Lousiana. It is, as of 2024, defunct.
