    The first patent issued in the field of evacuated tube transport was credited to Daryl Oster as inventor while the original assigner was issued to Et3.com Inc on Sept 14, 1999.[3] ET3 has been active since 1999. But it was two years prior, on Oct 10 1997, when Daryl Oster filed the 1999 patent relating to evacuated tube transport. In 2001, Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) invited Daryl to China to advance the field of Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) and to discuss adopting High Temperature Superconducting Maglev (HTSM) as the levitation system for ETT.
