Ewald Frank (born 24 December 1933) was a German preacher, founder and director of the Pentecostal community Freie volksmission in Krefeld. He is a follower of the controversial preacher William M. Branham and advocates his particular doctrine in speech and writing. He was presumed to the spiritual successor of Paul Schäfer, the former leader of the sectarian colony Colonia DignidadinChile[1][2] according to a westdeutsche Zeitung publication of 21 December 2011, showing a declaration from the regional court of “Düsseldorf. The Freie evangelical people's Mission of Krefeld distanced itself from the famous cult colony colonia dignidad in chile on wednestday, at the request of the people's Mission,the Düsseldorf Regional court banned a series of statements on alleged links between the group krefeld and colonia Dignidad. It is no longer necessary to Say that the popular Mission offers refuges to the leaders of colonia dignidad or to the dorctor of the Hh sect, Declarerd a spokesperson for the court. However, the popular Mission's lawyer criticized the impression that the Free people's Mission was a sort of successor organization to the tortur sect”[3]

Biography

Ewald Frank was born in 1933 in the Danzig region.He lives in western Germany After the end of World War Il . Until 1955, he devoted himself to personal study of the Bible. After large demonstrations by the américain preacher William Marrion branham and others in Karlsruhe, a small circle of followers formed in Krefeld ,of which Ewald Frank became the leader.From 1956 to 1959, he stayed in the United states and canada.

The beginning of the freie volksmission date back to New year's Eve 1959.on that day, Ewald Frank invités 14 people's to a meeting in his private apartment in Krefeld .at the end of this meeting, the people gathered formed a Closer group which became the seed of the future church.

In 1962, Ewald Frank Heard ,according to his own,“the voice of the lord” .since then,he has felt called to“spiritual service”.He was initially active in pentecostal churches,but since Branham's death he Sees himself as continuing his end-times message.[4]

Foundation of the religious congregation

Ewald Frank rents a small hall in Krefeld and begins his popular mission work.in 1964,the Freie volksmission Krefeld ,founded by Frank ,was recognized as a publique benefit association. It then has 250 members. In the same year,Ewald Frank traveled to india for the first Time to prozelytize.in october 2014, he left for is ²⁵th mission to india.

Ewald Frank undertakes numerous missionary journeys.in 2001,his church had approximately 3000 members.in addition to the 550-seat church,the missions printing and publishing house IS located at the mission headquarters in Krefeld .The Freie volksmission has full-time employees in 2014 and is mainly financed by donations.The members of the parish are not registered anywhere. According to the idea Agency (en) ,around 300 people participate in worship. The two fiftieth anniversary services, on october 5 and 6, 2014 ,attracted 1,200 guests.[5]

Theology

The objective of the Freie people's Mission IS the “complete return to the teaching and pratice of the primitive church at the time of the apostles” , indicates idea. Ewald Frank and his popular Mission reject the decisions of the council as a“falsification of the original word” . It also rejects the Nicene Creed and the Trinity, which unite all major Christian churches. He Practices believer's baptism and suggests that his followers leave their former religious communities.[6]
