Complaints existed for years to remove this map based on its age and disputed accuracy for years, see as fwr back as Archive 2 at the talk page. Please seek consensus at talk before restoring this contested map.Tag: Undo

This is from an academic source, UCLA(University of California, Los Angeles), any source from a university is considered academic and credible from an academic standpoint(or if you are writing a research paper), so it is also credible to use on a wikipedia article. It is better sourced than most pictures put on wikipedia articles. Please allow an administrator to decide before taking this down again so this doesn't turn into an edit war, thank you.Tags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit
curprev05:4005:40, 18 June 2024 A Rainbow Footing Ittalkcontribs 66,962 bytes−528 →Brown: This section is much too small to have three images, including onnthe left and right sides, especially with large unsourced captions about where this color is common. The image of the infant eye is too large and not a closeup shot, replaced with File:Human_eye,_anterior_view.jpg
curprev05:2705:27, 18 June 2024 A Rainbow Footing Ittalkcontribs 67,490 bytes−389 →Eye color range: This reference was removed because it's a self-published source. Per WP:MEDRS, a chart about phenotypical traits should be in a high quality, peer reviewed sources. Furthermore, the map from this reference IS from the 20th century: Frost credits his map to Beals & Hojier (1965).

curprev22:3222:32, 17 June 2024 Tommygunn7886talkcontribs 67,879 bytes+390 →Eye color range: Moved map to this section, as it it more fittingly showing the eye color range. Also, this map is better than proposed maps from other suggesttions, as it is recent, more accuate, and from a more reputable source(a university) as opposed to largely discredited 19th or 20th century self published anthropologists.Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit

curprev03:2703:27, 23 May 2024 A Rainbow Footing Ittalkcontribs 69,276 bytes+3,710 Restored reliably sourced content. As explained at talk page, both Martinez-Cadenas 2013 and 2016 describe multiple studies from across Europe and Auatralia, which corroborate their findings. Additional studies performed afterwards also replicated an eye color gender asymmetry. Tommygunn needs to give a sensible explanation at the talk page for these edits, and stop edit warring.Tags: Manual revertReverted

curprev01:0201:02, 23 May 2024 Tommygunn7886talkcontribs 65,838 bytes−3,201 →Genetic determination: Again, it is problematic to try to tie eye color to gender or sexual identity, as the terminology presented is based on western heteronomative ideas of identity that do not correlate to one's individual identity.Tags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit
curprev01:0201:02, 23 May 2024 Tommygunn7886talkcontribs 69,039 bytes−237 Using control F, there are no mentions of any populations other than Spanish populations in this particular study. It is also highly probelmatic to try to tie eye color to gender or sexual identityTags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit
curprev23:3923:39, 22 May 2024 A Rainbow Footing Ittalkcontribs 69,277 bytes+3,703 Partially restored content without Spanish data points. Contrary to what was claimed by TommyGunn, Martinez-Cadenas et al. 2013 and 2016 both use previously published studies from across Europe, which show the same effect. Added quote to Martinez-Cadenas citation and secondary source (Pilli-Berti 2021), which mentions studies published afterwards which observed a similar effect.

Being so specific about countries requires a good source.Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit

The study did not show any correlation or causation for populations at large. It seems the poster wanted to imply something political.Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit
