The Freetown-Port Rico Historic District is a 220 acres (0.89 km2) historic districtinLafayette, Louisiana which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.[1]
The district included 677 contributing buildings and 177 non-contributing buildings, as well as one contributing structure. [2]
It includes properties associated with Southwestern Louisiana Institute (SLI), a school founded in 1900 which later became the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.[2]
