Gordon Wenham is a theologian and author of several books about the Bible.
He read Theology at Cambridge University, graduating in 1965 with distinction, and completed his PhD on Deuteronomyin1970. He has been awarded several scholarships in connection with Old Testament studies and has studied in Germany, America and Jerusalem. Professor Wenham has written a large number of articles and several books, including commentaries on Leviticus and Genesis, and more recently a study of Old Testament narrative ethics, Story as Torah (T & T Clark, 2000), and Exploring the Old Testament: the Pentateuch (SPCK: 2003).
