Groupama 3 is a french maxi-multihull designed for transoceanic records. It is one of the fastest ocean-going sailing vessels in the world. It is skipped by Franck Cammas, with a 10 members crew. It is sponsorized by the french bank Groupama.

Groupama 3 was the transatlantic record holder between 2007 and 2009.

Jules Verne Trophy

During a first attempt for the Jules Verne Trophy (circumnavigation of the world) in 2008, Groupama 3 capsizes off the coasts of New-Zealand.

It is repaired in France and goes for another attempt in 2009. A damage on the portside hull interrupts the race after 11 days.

It is currently on its way for a third attempt.
