Law against Gays:

Homosexuality was legalised in 1961. The age of consent was equalized in 1990.Homosexuals are not banned from Military Servis. There is no law against Gays, or witch could be discriminate Gays. Homosexual prostitution was legalised in 1990.

Protection based on sexual orientation in law:

There exist anti-discrimination law in Labour Code since 2001, and in Military Servis sine 1999.


Recognition of same sex coupels:

There is some legal recognition of same-sex coupels. Domestic Partnerhip since 2001. The Czech republic has granted "persons living in a common household" inheritance and succession rights in housing. Registered Partnership, with near all the same rights as marriage was rejected 4rd time. In 1998, 2001, 2003, and 2005. The new Bill is expected to be introduced in 2 years.


Gay life in the Country:

Czech Republic has become very liberal and most gayfriendly country in all East Europe. There is great gay scene. In 2004 public opinion showed great support to Registered Partnership for same sex coupels. 60% agreed with such law.
