Lakewood Playhouse is a theatreinLakewood, Washintgon, considered to be one of the main points of intrest for the City of Lakewood.[1]

Mission Statement

Lakewood Playhouse, the cultural heart of our diverse community, creates engaging and entertaining theatre celebrating the human experience through the stories [that] we tell.

History

Lakewood Playhouse was founded in 1938.[2] They currently have a 180-seat theatre in the Seattle metropolitan area, at the Lakewood Towne Center.[3]

The Artistic Director for Lakewood Playhouse is Marcus Walker, the Managing and Marketing Director is Scott Campbell, the Education Director is Maggie Knott, and the Technical Director is Ali Criss.[4]

Current Season

Lakewood Payhouse's performing season goes from SeptembertoMay. Their 2007 to 2008 season inlcudes The Hollow, Holes, The Sound of Music, Over the River and Through the Woods, Once on This Island, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
