Lakewood Playhouse is a theatreinLakewood, Washington.

History

Lakewood Playhouse was founded in 1938.[1] They currently have a 180-seat theatre in the Seattle metropolitan area, at the Lakewood Towne Center.[2]

Notable performances includes their January 2007 free staged reading of David Hare's controversial political commentary, Stuff Happens, with a cast of twelve actors; the original production, in London in 2004, had sixty actors.[3] Also, in Spring of 2009, Lakewood Playhouse performed Once in a Lifetime by Kaufmann and Hart, directed by Marcus Walker.

The Artistic Director for Lakewood Playhouse is Marcus Walker, the Education Director is Maggie Knott, and the Production Manager is James Venturini.[4]
