Let's Make a Mug Too (やくならマグカップも, Yaku nara Magu Kappu mo, lit. "If planning to fire (pottery), mug cup too") is a Japanese manga series about Mino ware pottery, set in the Tajimi cityofGifu Prefecture. It has been serialized online by Planet since 2012, and has been collected in thirty-three digital volumes. A second manga series by Osamu Kashiwara has been serialized online via Akita Shoten's Manga Cross website since January 2021.[1]Ananime television series adaptation by Nippon Animation premiered in April 2021.
Ananime television series adaptation was announced via Twitter on February 14, 2020.[2] The series is animated by Nippon Animation and directed by Jun Kamiya, with Naruhisa Arakawa handling series composition, and Ayano Yoshioka designing the characters. Tajimi and its tourism association are collaborating on the anime.[2] The series premiered on April 3, 2021 on CBC and other channels.[3][6] Minami Tanaka, Yu Serizawa, Yūki Wakai, and Rina Honnizumi performed the series' opening theme song "Tobira o Aketara", while Aya Uchida performed the series' ending theme song "Pale Blue."[7][4] Crunchyroll licensed the series.[8]
