In the east Asian lunisolar calendars, Lidong (Traditional Chinese: 立冬, literally "establishment of winter") is a solar term begins when Sun lies between the celestial longitude of 225° and 240°. It more often refers in particular to the day when Sun exactly at the celestial longitude of 225°. It signifies the start of winter in the Chinese calendar.
Lidong usually begins around November 7, and ends around November 22.
