The following electrical connectors are commonly used in aviation headsets:

  • XLR 5
  • U-174/U, also known as U-93/A, US NATO, or Nexus TP-101 plugs, commonly used in helicopters[1]
  • U-384, also known as UK NATO, European NATO, or Type 671[2]
  • REDEL 6-pin connector by LEMO, known as "LEMO plugs"
  • Fischer 8-pin plug, used in Agusta helicopters
  • The XLR, LEMO and Fischer plugs are able to supply power for active noise cancellation.[1]
