The following is a list of minor charactersinthe re-imagined Battlestar Galactica.
Episode Count as of 3.7 "A Measure of Salvation."
Zak Adama was a pilot, Adama's son and Apollo's brother. His death was the result of a training accident. He was engaged to Starbuck, who passed him on his basic flight test because of their romantic involvement, despite his lack of ability.
Noel 'Narcho' Allison is a pilot originally seen on the Pegasus. He is stubborn and full of bravado, scoffing at plans to use the Blackbird and bragging about his Cylon kill count. After Pegasus is destroyed, he becomes part of Galactica's crew.
Helena Cain is an admiral in command of the Pegasus, a battlestar that Galactica encounters. Ruthless and Machiavellian, she is a force to be reckoned with. She orders an assassination attempt on Adama, then backs down. She briefly takes Starbuck under her wing. She is later killed by Gina, the Cylon prisoner she had tortured.
Nora Clellan is Tucker 'Duck' Clellan's wife, and a fellow Colonial Viper pilot. She is featured prominently in Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance. She and Duck plan to have a family on New Caprica. She is religious, going to the temple regularly, sometimes to pray for fertility. She is killed when Cylon Centurions open fire on civilians inside the temple (the massacre be precipitated by the resistance's keeping weapons inside the temple).
Tucker 'Duck' Clellan is a pilot aboard Galactica. He often provides snide remarks and hassles rookie pilots. On New Caprica, his wife, Nora, is killed by Centurions. Because of this, he elects to become a suicide bomber, and dies while blowing up a New Caprican Police graduation ceremony.
Brendan 'Hot Dog' Costanza is a cocky pilot who is often seen alongside Kat. He often suffers massive setbacks, such as being punched out quite easily by Starbuck during the "dance", or losing the Adriatic, however, he did lead the Viper squadron during the fight for New Caprica.
Doctor Cottle is a gruff, cynical physician who is nonetheless honorable and dedicated to his profession. He treats Roslin for her breast cancer, and delivers Sharon Agathon's baby (while being ordered to fake its death).
Margaret 'Racetrack' Edmondson is a raptor pilot and ECO, brought in as Crashdown’s replacement. As her callsign is long, she is also called 'track . She is cynical and emotional. Before the return to New Caprica, she leads the Galactica flight wing in prayer. Although she initially distrusts Sharon Agathon, she later forms a friendship with her.
Jack Fisk is originally Cain’s XO, and then takes over command of the Pegasus after her death. For a time he becomes Tigh’s drinking buddy. He is killed by Phelan after his dealings with the black market go awry.
Barry Garner is the commander of the Pegasus after Fisk’s death (he was originally the chief engineer). He is ill-suited for command, but later redeems himself by dying in order to save Pegasus and the people onboard it.
Sgt. Hadrian is Galactica’s tough-as-nails Master-at-Arms. She heads an independent tribunal to investigate suspicious activity of suspected Cylons, but when Adama feels she is leading a witch hunt, he dissolves the independent tribunal and sends her to the brig. She later fights against Centurions when they board Galactica.
Louanne 'Kat' Katraine is initially a rookie pilot, though she quickly improves, taking the “Top Gun” honor (but not before she overcomes an addiction to uppers). She becomes Galactica`s CAG when Starbuck leaves the fleet and settles on New Caprica. After the Pegasus is destroyed during the exodus from New Caprica, Apollo returns to the Galactica and replaces Kat as the CAG (although Kat appears to keep her rank as Captain). During a difficult passage through a radiation heavy sector of space, it is revealed that Kat's identity is false and that she was in fact a former drug runner. She sacrifices her life to save one of the civilian ships, and is made CAG again.
James 'Jammer' Lyman is a deckhand aboard Galactica. He is weak willed and inspires paranoia in the crew. Later, on New Caprica, he becomes a collaborator (as a member of the New Caprican Police) out of a genuine desire to help people, although he is involved in kidnappings and murders. He is later executed for his crimes by "The Circle."
Gunnery Sergeant Mathias is a Marine non-commissioned officer. She is instrumental in the exodus from New Caprica, leading a group of Marines in a raid to rescue Colonial detainees.
Lieutenant Daniel 'Bulldog' Novacek, or Danny, is a Viper pilot, whom served under Adama (and Tigh) aboard Battlestar Valkyrie. He was attacked by Cylons and then shot down by Adama on the Cylon side of the Armistice Line, one year before the Destruction of the Twelve Colonies, on a deep recon mission to assess Cylon strength. He had been piloting a Stealthstar. The Cylons let him go after three years in captivity aboard a Basestar hoping that he would murder Adama for vengeance.
Seelix is a deckhand aboard Galactica with some basic medical training. She participates in the mission to Kobol, during which she helps euthanize a mortally wounded Socinus. Later, during the Cylon occupation of New Caprica, she becomes a resistance fighter. After the exodus from New Caprica, she is appointed by Zarek (at this point President) to participate in a six person jury named “The Circle,” trying and executing humans suspected of collaborating with Cylons. After Roslin pardons all suspected collaborators, the Circle disbands.
Socinus is a deckhand aboard Galactica. A loyal subordinate to Tyrol, Socinus lies under oath to protect Tyrol during an investigation, and is sent to jail for it. He is later released on parole, and participates in the mission to Kobol. The raptor transporting him crash lands, and he is mortally wounded. He is euthanized by Tyrol.
Major Jackson 'Ripper' Spencer was the CAG aboard Battlestar Galactica before her decommissioning ceremony. He and the last Galactica Viper squadron were killed in the initial attack during the Destruction of the Twelve Colonies. (His rank of Major was never spoken onscreen but is clearly written on the side of his Viper cockpit.)
Tarn is a deckhand aboard Galactica who participates in the mission to Kobol. After crashlanding, he leaves important medical equipment behind, and is ordered by Crashdown to retrieve it. Tyrol accompanies him, and watches as Tarn is shot to death by Cylon Centurions.
Cole 'Stinger' Taylor is Pegasus’ uptight, by-the-book CAG. When the flaws in his plan to survey the resurrection ship are pointed out by Starbuck, he takes her off the mission. Ironically, Starbuck covertly conducts the mission before Stinger is able to. He is later thrown in the brig for mouthing off to Garner.
Alex 'Crashdown' Quartararo is a raptor pilot and ECO who is usually paired with Boomer. Often used for comic relief, he crumbles under stress. He proves to be an unfit leader on Kobol, after his Raptor is shot down by Cylons. He is shot to death by Baltar when he threatens to kill team members who are reluctant to engage in a suicide mission.
Corporal Venner is a marine who guards Roslin when she’s arrested. He believes that she is a spiritual leader, so he helps her escape.
Richard Adar is the President of the Colonies prior to Roslin. He has an extramarital affair with Roslin, and considers using deadly force to break up a teachers’ union strike. He is killed in the initial Cylon attack on the Colonies.
Marshall Bagot is Virgon's representative. After receiving help from Tom Zarek in getting the air filtration system on his ship repaired, he nominates Zarek for the Vice Presidency. Although initially critical of Roslin and her administration, he is later seen supporting Roslin while she's in prison, and taking her side during the schism of the Fleet.
Elosha is a priest and Roslin’s spiritual advisor. She is killed on Kobol, after stepping on a mine.
Tory Foster is Roslin’s no-nonsense presidential aide (who replaced Billy after his death). She helps rig the presidential election, although the plot is discovered. She later takes part in the resistance on New Caprica.
Sarah Porter is Geminon’s religious conservative representative. She is the first to support Roslin when Roslin “plays the religious card,” but demands Roslin’s support in return. Porter is instrumental in forcing Roslin to ban abortion, after which Roslin cuts ties with Porter.
Tom Zarek is a former political prisoner and “terrorist” from the colony Sagittaron. Zarek’s radical ideals often shake things up for political opponent Laura Roslin. However, when the need arises, the two can form uneasy truces for the greater good. Vice President under Baltar’s administration, he is thrown in jail for not collaborating with the Cylons during the New Caprica occupation. Once the colonists escape New Caprica, Zarek cedes his presidency to Laura Roslin, who in turn nominates him for Vice President.
Sesha Abinell is a woman living in the Colonial Fleet recently traumatized by the death of her husband. She takes hostages aboard Cloud Nine, in an attempt to get Adama to hand over Sharon Agathon to be killed. She is killed by marines, but not before one of her men kills Billy Keikeya.
Samuel Anders is a former professional athlete. He becomes a resistance fighter on both Caprica and New Caprica. He falls in love with Starbuck and marries her. After the exodus from New Caprica, he is appointed to be a part of "The Circle," a six person jury charged with the duty of trying and executing humans suspected of collaborating with the Cylons. Anders doesn't have the stomach for it, and leaves the Circle. Starbuck steps up to replace him, and the resulting fallout leads to their separation.
Jean Barolay is a former professional athlete. She becomes a resistance fighter subordinate to Anders both on Caprica and New Caprica. After the exodus from New Caprica, she becomes a member of “The Circle.”
Boxey is a young boy Boomer saves from Caprica during the initial Cylon attack on the Colonies. He initially accompanies Boomer and Starbuck aboard Galactica, but is only briefly seen thereafter, and his subsequent whereabouts are unknown. Boxey is the son of the Colonial officer sent to Armistice Station (who was seduced by a Six copy shortly before the station's destruction), as evidenced by the photo the officer had on his desk.
Charlie Connor is a resistance fighter on New Caprica. His son is killed by human collaborators during a raid, which traumatizes him greatly. After the exodus from New Caprica, he becomes a member of “The Circle,” where he advocates the execution of every person even suspected of being a collaborator.
GianneisLee Adama's pregnant fiancé. She was killed on Caprica when the Cylons destroyed the Twelve Colonies. Lee feels guilt over her loss, his loss of a chance at a family, and the fact that their last meeting ended on bad terms.
Sekou Hamilton is a reporter in the Fleet and a member of the news program "The Colonial Gang." He also voices his support for Roslin, and he is often seen with Playa Palacios.
Hera is the human/cylon hybrid child of Helo and Sharon Agathon. Her blood is used to “cure” Roslin’s cancer. Roslin, not trusting Sharon Agathon with the child, but also not wanting to kill her, decides to fake Hera’s death, and gives the child to Maya, the mother of a stillborn child. After Maya's death on New Caprica, Hera is taken aboard a baseship by the Cylons.
Julia is Kacey’s real mother. She is overjoyed when Starbuck takes Kacey aboard Galactica. Julia takes Kacey in her arms, unaware of how it is affecting Starbuck. She later advocates that Starbuck spend more time with Kacey, which further disturbs Starbuck.
Kacey is a little girl Starbuck initially believes to be her daughter (fathered artificially by Leoben). Starbuck is devastated when she finds out that Leoben lied to her, and Kacey isn’t really her daughter.
James McManus is a reporter in the Fleet and a member of the news program "The Colonial Gang." He is often harsh in his criticism of Roslin. He is also seen moderating the presidential debates.
Maya is a young schoolteacher who adopts Hera (and renames her Isis). She dies on New Caprica.
PayaisShevon 's daughter. She functions as a surrogate for Apollo's guilt over the lost child that Gianne was carrying. The role of Paya serves the same function as Boxey in the original continuity as related to Apollo.
Phelan is the kingpin of the Coloniel Fleet’s black market. Phelan orders Jack Fisk's assassination. He is killed by Apollo after his exploits (murder, human trafficking) are exposed.
Playa Palacios is a reporter in the Fleet and a member of the news program “The Colonial Gang.” She often voices her support for Roslin. She is one of the most respected members of the journalistic community, and is often given the first question at presidential press conferences. She has a brief fling with Gaius Baltar.
Selloi is an eccentric Oracle who gives a Number Three spiritual advice on New Caprica.
Sue-Shaun is a former professional athlete. She becomes a resistance fighter subordinate to Anders on Caprica. She is captured by the Cylons and subjected to breeding experiments. Starbuck finds her, and Sue-Shaun pleads to be killed. Starbuck obliges.
Shevon is a prostitute who works for Phelan. She regularly serviced Lee Adama. Apollo uses Shevon as a substitute for Gianne, his dead wife. And pretends a family with her and her daughter Paya.
Ellen Tigh is the wife of Saul Tigh. Her promiscuous ways and Machiavellian maneuvering cause strife within their relationship, but, despite their dysfunction, they still love each other. During the Cylon occupation of New Caprica, Ellen trades information and sexual favors for promises of Saul’s well-being. For collaborating with the Cylons, Saul poisons her drink and kills her. Once aboard Galactica (and after Ellen is dead), Saul hears her voice, but it has yet to be see what (if any) meaning there is to this.
Nicholas Stephen Tyrol is Galen and Cally Tyrol's infant son.

Number Three is a Cylon infiltrator who first appears to the fleet as a tabloid news reporter named D'Anna Biers. Back on Caprica, another Three copy schemes to have Caprica Six and Boomer “boxed.” This same model appears during the occupation of New Caprica in a leadership role, and also begins to have doubts in her faith.
Number Three version called D'Anna Biers is a popular tabloid news reporter in the refugee fleet. She conducts the open-ship propaganda excercise.
A version Number Three is in a leadership position since New Caprica. She has had visions, and through those visions has found Hera, the Cylon-Human hybrid.
Number Five is a Cylon infiltrator who first appears to the fleet as a Public Relations manager named Aaron Doral. He is often vicious and prone to violence and threats thereof.
A copy of Number Six is shown seducing Boxey's father.
Shelley Godfrey attempts to frame-up Dr. Baltar, but fails in her endeavour
Gina is a Cylon inflitrator caught aboard Battlestar Pegasus. She was sexually and physically tortured by the Pegasus crew, but the soft minstrations by Gaius Baltar bring her out of her shell, to become his lover. She dies a permanent death, as she is out of reach of a resurrection ship.
Cavil is a Cylon infiltrator who first appears to the fleet as a priest. However, once exposed, Cavil reveals that he is an atheist. He shows an extreme distaste for humans, and often advocates violence against them.
Leoben Conoy is a Cylon infiltrator who first appears to be a common criminal. This model is an expert at manipulation. He is also devoutly religious, and often has visions. One copy has an obsession with Starbuck.
Simon is a Cylon who first appears to be a Caprican doctor.
The Hybrid is a Cylon that is partly humanoid but is permanently fused to a basestar, which she controls. The Hybrids speak in constant, poetic gibberish, which not even the other Cylons can decipher. Some models see this as a form of madness caused by the mental stress of controlling all of the baseship's functions, while other models, particularly Leobon, see the Hybrids as oracles speaking the word of God. The Hybrid does not appear to be ranked as one of the twelve "human" models, and despite showing sentience and disapproval of decisions made by the twelve Cylons, the Hybrid does not "get a vote" in matters of importance.
Scar the nickname for a Cylon Raider ace. Scar was proficient in shooting down Viper pilots, especially nuggets. Scar was given his nickname by Colonial pilots because of a deep gash on the side of the cockpit. Scar was responsible for ambushing and destroying multiple viper patrols using highly effective hit-and-run and divide-and-conquer tactics, primarily during fleet operations in an asteroid field involving the mining ship Majahual. He is destroyed by Kat.
